| Mike Spisak started flying in Kotzebue, Alaska in 1983. Initially, Mike flew for Big Game Commercial Guides out of Kotzebue on Moose, Bear, Sheep, Caribou, Wolf and Wolverine hunts. Along with the hunting trips, Mike flew fishermen in for trophy size Arctic Char, Grayling, Salmon, Sheefish and Pike. When Mike wasn't flying fishermen or hunters into the remote reaches of Alaska, he was flying local villagers back and forth to their homes above the Arctic Circle. Along with the local charters, Mike also flew for gold mines and provided them with a life line of food and fuel so they could continue mining. Since Mike began Ram Aviation in Kotzebue, he has continued throughout the years to bring that once in a lifetime experience of hunting and fishing out in the remote regions of Alaska to his clients. That once in a lifetime experience that so many people long for seems to keep several of them coming back to us year after year to go on yet another once in a lifetime hunting or fishing trip. We can hunt anywhere in Alaska that we want and we choose to hunt here. We hunt in the exact same places as we take our clients, in fact most of the places we take our clients are old camp sites that we have used personally for the last 20+ years. |
